We invite you to take a virtual
tour of Jackson County Comprehensive High School. Be sure to check out
the student handbook as well.
JCCHS has a complete program of academic
and career/technical courses of study designed to prepare students for
life after high school. Reports received from colleges and technical schools
indicate that the correlation between our students' high school grades
and success in postsecondary settings is quite high. In short, students
who work hard in their courses while at JCCHS do well after leaving us.
While most of our students attend public Georgia colleges and technical
schools, our students have been accepted to such nationally recognized
schools as Yale, Bryn Mawr, Notre Dame, West Point, and the Air Force
Academy. |
The school has two campuses. The main
campus is located at 1668 Winder Highway. The Gordon Street Center is a
short bus ride away and houses such courses as Health Occupations, Early
Childhood Education, Technology Education, Manufacturing Technology, JROTC,
and some business courses.
Both campuses contain multiple computer
labs. Additionally, each classroom is networked to an internal server,
as well as the Internet.
JCCHS has a full range of extracurricular activities. It's athletic facilities
include a 5000 seat stadium, a state-of-the-art track, a baseball field,
a softball field, tennis courts, and two weightrooms.
