Each recipient of all scholarships must be a customer of Jackson
EMC or the son or daughter of a customer and be a resident of the

Walter Harrison Scholarships: Scholarships are awarded based on
financial need and academic ability.
A.T. Sharpton Gainesville College Scholarship: This scholarship
award is available exclusively for students planning to attend Gainesville
College. Financial need is a primary consideration, and judges also
consider academic average, class rank, standardized test scores
and/or faculty recommendations.
A.T. Sharpton Unrestricted Scholarship: This scholarship award
is available to students attending any two- or four-year college
or university in the nation. Judges will consider financial need;
however, academic average, class rank, standardized test scores
and/or faculty recommendations are of equal importance. This scholarship
is available for both undergraduate and graduate students.
