Financial Aid/Scholarship Information See a complete explanation of the financial aid/scholarship process, as well as links to other sites filled with information. You will also find a list of scholarship applications that have arrived in the JCCHS counseling office.
Counseling Office Scholarship Listing Scholarship offers are sent to the JCCHS and EJCHS counseling offices. As the notices arrive, they are listed in PantherHelp/EagleHelp.
Georgia College 411 The Georgia School Finance Commision maintains www.gacollege411.org, a website that has excellent information regarding Georgia colleges, financial aid, careers, and other valuable areas. Students can create and maintain a personal portfolio throughout high school so that their information is readily available when applying for scholarships, colleges and universities, etc. Students can apply to colleges on line as well through this site.
HOPE Scholarship See a complete description of the HOPE scholarship, including eligibility requirements, what the scholarship pays for, and what parents and students must do to apply for the scholarship
FAFSA Students applying for financial aid from the federal government must submit the FAFSA. Many scholarship programs also require that students submit the FAFSA as well. Seniors should complete the FAFSA by the beginning of March of their senior year. The form is available in the counseling office in January. You may complete the FAFSA on line by clicking on the FAFSA link to the left.
GCIS Scholarship Information GCIS includes information regarding scholarships. There is a very helpful section which lists scholarships available to Georgia residents. National scholarships for also listed. You must have the user ID and password that has been assigned to JCCHS. We cannot post them on our website, but you can contact us to obtain the user ID and password. That information is also always contained in PantherHelp's E-mailed newsletter.
