College 411 |
The Georgia School Finance Commision maintains
www.gacollege411.org, a website that has excellent information
regarding Georgia colleges, financial aid, careers, and other valuable
areas. Students can create and maintain a personal portfolio throughout
high school so that their information is readily available when applying
for scholarships, colleges and universities, etc. Students can apply
to colleges on line as well through this site. |

SAT/ACT Information
|
Students attending colleges must take either the SAT or the ACT. Discover when the SAT and ACT is being given and register on-line. You will also find a link to a free online SAT preparation program. (Note: Students attending technical colleges such as Lanier Tech and Athens Tech should take the ASSET test at those schools.) |

PSAT Information
|
Find information and practice tests for the PSAT. All JCCHS ninth and tenth graders take the PSAT free of charge. Juniors should also take the test. |

GCIS College Information
|
GCIS is a comprehensive website for discovering information about colleges. For example, if you want to major in physical therapy in college, you can quickly find colleges in Georgia and elsewhere that offers that program. You must have the user ID and password that has been assigned to JCCHS. We cannot post them on our website, but you can contact
us to obtain the user ID and password. That information is also always contained
in PantherHelp's
