During advisement sessions, students and parents will meet with an advisor to select courses for the 2009-2010 school year and be provided with other important information. Please take note of the information provided below.

• Advisement for current eighth graders will take place January 12 and 13, 2009 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Students will be given appointment times in early December to take home. Parents are asked to sign the appointment time form and the student should return that form to West Jackson Middle School.
• It is important that parents and students arrive for the appointments a few minutes before the scheduled time. We try our best to maintain our schedule and student/parent promptness helps us do that. From time to time an advisor will be running behind a bit. Please be patient with us.

• Parents and students are invited to an information in the West Jackson Middle School cafeteria December 15, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m..
• High school counselors will give eight graders information to use in preparing for advisement during the school day on January 8, 2009.
• Parents and students should review options and come to the advisement session ready to make decisions as to course selection. The program of study which includes course descriptions can be found here.
